This is George. He is a husband, father of two, pastor, fireman, business owner and greengrower. The Surrell family have committed to donating some of their harvest to growgreencountry. We stopped by station #12 of the Tulsa Fire Department so I could snap a picture of him and give the firemen some well deserved cookies. George graciously gave the kids and me a tour. We learned quite a bit about the truck, hoses, their schedule and such. We met the other firemen on that shift, saw their kitchen, beds, weights and lockers. But, what impressed me most was their garden! Yes, firestation #12 has a garden! It was planted by their "driver" Kevin and George. They eat the veggies there, take some home to their families AND give some to neighbors who are hungry during harvest season! That is what growgreen is all about...feeding the hungry in Oklahoma. Way to go guys!! Thank you for your hospitality and being part of growgreencountry!
